My husband & I took our not-quite 2-year-old son, Stuart, to Disneyland in April 2006, and wanted to see Aladdin while we were in California Adventure. Although our darling son enjoyed the first few minutes, he did not want to sit through the entire production. As soon as "Prince Ali" made his entrance, I had to take kiddo upstairs to the lobby area above the balcony (husband was video-taping the show). I was afraid I'd have to take him completely out of the building, but there was just enough light up in the lobby that he was happy to run around there.

The CM on duty by the exit doors, Emil, turned out to be a real hero! He played with Stuart with his flashlight, and helped me keep him occupied. Emil also helped me keep Stuart from running out the exit doors or from getting too close to the stairs. Without Emil, I would almost assuredly have been forced to leave the theater. With his help, I was able to hear the show, and even catch a few short scenes while standing behind the back row--like the flying carpet!

Then, as people began leaving, Emil helped me corral Stuart and even stood near us and occasionally made faces at Stuart in-between directing traffic. Hurray, Emil!

Thank you for letting a tired mom experience at least a little of a show she'd been wanting to see.
