Here's my story. I was re-reading my old Disney Magazines (DM) and started to get nostalgic. I miss the publication and wondered what articles I had missed before I got a subscription. I did a little online searching to see how many issues I had missed. Much to my shock I found that my 2003 subscription was only at the very end of the magazine's run which went back to Summer 1996. Well, I used the online Disney Guest inquiry form to ask how I could get back issues. Unfortunately, the response from the online folks was that they did not handle my kind of request. I was a little disappointed at the response, but not shocked since DM had been out of publication for almost 2 years. So I went to the old DMs and took a look at who was the publisher or distributor or any other info that might give me a contact. I found that DM was published by Disney Publishing and I looked online again to see if there was a website where I could contact someone. All I could find was a login/admin for Disney Publishing. The one saving grace was that there was a contact email listed for people having problems logging in. I am sure website admins hate when people ask them questions that are not related to the functioning of the site itself, but I went and asked a non-website question. Good fortune smiled on me that day since I received an email the next day from an admin person (Mariamma) saying that she was going to forward my DM back issue question to someone who could help me. The day after that I received an email from Ronald Staino. This guy is amazing and that is no joke. He wanted to speak with me ASAP and when I called he helped like you would never believe. I was expecting that I would get the explanation about DM being out of print and hard to find and that there was not much hope . . . you can imagine how the discussion could go. That is not the way it went with Ron. He listened to what I was trying to do and literally launched into action. He said that he would contact the printer, take a look around at some of the resources at the NYC offices and see if there were any left-over materials in the empty offices of the old DM cast members. Ron was like a tiger in helping me find the back issues of DM. I have never been helped so instantly and with such focus and determination. He is truly the kind of guy that you want either on your sports team or your work team because he gets things done ASAP. I would put him up for the picture in the dictionary next to the definition of great customer service. This guy is awesome!!!
