I don't like to wait for something dramatic to happen before I hand out WWWD pins: I strongly believe that the major distinction offered by a Disney vacation is that so many of the cast members go out of their way to welcome guests, and make us feel at home, even when there are no tangible rewards involved.

Brian is one such person: When my small son wouldn't detach himself from the gift shop play table, Brian (who usually works in the Animal Kingdom Lodge gift shop) engaged both of us in friendly chat, and really helped compensate for a less-than-thrilling experience of the hospitality in the hotel food court the day before.

Brian is the personification of Disney: earnest, cheery, and enthusiastic about his job. It was so nice to hand a pin to someone who was quite chuffed to receive it!

Thanks, Brian--This was one of those moments that make staying with Disney a pleasure.
